Ring Mouse 2 Offers An Alternative To The Regular Mouse

Mouse Ring 2 BannerUsing a mouse with your computer is one of those necessities we have become accustom to. With tablets, that goes away and you use your fingers to help with navigation. But computers are here and will be around for a while, so when there is an alternative to the normal mouse, it is something to take a look at. And one that we have found is the Genius Ring Mouse 2.

The Genius Ring Mouse 2 is basically described by the name. It is a ring with a mouse functionality. And as the name identifies, this is the second version of the Ring Mouse and you have probably not heard of it yet. This one is different and is a great way to make presentations so that you are not stuck at the keyboard clicking with your mouse. As the name implies, this is a mouse that you wear as a ring on your index finger. You can move the mouse pointer around on the screen and click the mouse to launch programs or move to the next screen.

The ring is made of rubber and is flexible. The mouse itself is connected to the computer via a USB connection, so you have to make sure you do not lose the USB connector or you are out of luck until you replace it. You have the ability to move the mouse around on the screen using the ball on the top just like you would a regular mouse for the computer. You get left, middle and right mouse buttons as well. And as you would expect, you can click and drag on the screen. All of the basic mouse functionality that we have all come to expect.

Mouse Ring 2The wireless connection is done using the 2.4 Ghz segment and one could assume that using a lower segment is far less likely to have interference with other wireless devices. If there are other devices operating on the 2.4 Ghz segment, you will have to be much closer to the computer to keep it working. They are claimnig you can use it up to 30 feet away.

As with so many of the mobile devices, this one uses a Li-Ion battery, which of course will require charging. There is a blue indicator which notifies of when it needs to be recharged. Recharging the Genius Ring Mouse 2 only requires a USB port of the computer using a microUSB cable.

The Genius Ring Mouse 2 is available at Amazon for $40.46 today.
