The Mutator is being designed for the iPhone, but if it is successful, you will definitely see it for Android phones as well. And while some may ask the question of how does this replace muting your phone manually, you only have to be the one that everyone is staring at when your phone does go off. With a simple twist it is off. You do not have to swipe the screen to get to what ever is making the noise. And with just about everything, there is an exception. In this case, the Mutator will not silence alarms that you have manually set. Want to make sure that you are alerted, especially if it is an alarm to wake up.
