If you are concerned about your own health, you make sure and exercise to maintain your fitness. And there are so many options to do that today. But, what if you want to make sure that your pet is healthy and fit? There is not exactly a lot of tools to make sure that your pet is getting the necessary exercise to be healthy. We know that there are a variety of technology solutions for us humans. But for pets, which are very important, they are not what they should be. Things are about to change for providing technology solutions to keep our pets in shape by getting the right amount of exercise.
FitBark is gathering funding right now through KickStarter to provide you with the tools to track the amount of activity that your pet gets. This is a similar concept to the popular FitBit, but for your pets. And they are an important part of your life. The concept here is very simple. You attach a small electronic device to you dogs collar and it will track the activities of your pet. This is after you connect it to your iOS device over BlueTooth and the downloadable app. From that point forward, information recorded on the FitBark can be transmitted to the app for your use.
As with all these great technology tools, it has a battery to record the information which is supposed to last up to 10 days. And the FitBark unit can record up to 3 weeks worth of information if you cannot sync it with your iOS device. Recharging is via a standard microUSB connection.
One of the things they understand is that there is often multiple people who are taking care of pets, so they have opened things up for multiple people to be able to keep track of your pet's activities. That way a group of people can make sure your pet is getting the correct level of activity. With FitBark, they are going to be providing you with the recommended activity levels for you pet so you do not have to guess.
At the moment, FitBark is gathering funding as a KickStarter project and if you are interesting in keeping your pet healthy, you can join in to make this a success.
