Samsung Gets Request From Apple To Pay $2.5 Billion

In exchange, Apple will pay them 5 cents per unit. Sounds fair enough.

SamsungIn the continuing battles between Samsung and Apple, there always seems to be a few surprises. At least those which surprise some of us. The latest one is a request from Apple lawyers where they want Samsung to pay damages to Apple of over $2.5 billion. That seems like a radically high dollar amount. There are a number of things this covers and appears to satisfy Apple’s needs in settling the case. For Apple’s part, they are proposing to pay Samsung what appears to be a much lower amount, to the tune of 5 cents for each unit where Apple has reportedly violated Samsung patents. Looking at this, Samsung comes out the big loser.
