Word is coming out regarding patents which Apple has secured from the United States Patent Office. Patent number 8223134 has been granted on July 17, 2012 to Apple Inc. and with this grant, Apple now has all the tools to go after all their competitors. As the pictures from the granted patent are showing, Apple now has the patent to the graphical interface to touch screen smart phones. This was filed as “Portable electronic device, method, and graphical user interface for displaying electronic lists and documents” and as the name implies is far reaching. This is giving Apple a whole new arsenal in which to go after the competition.
