Coming product stops all signals from your phone, including GPS.

This week's KickStarter project is Off Pocket with a simple yet descriptive name. Putting your smart phone in the Off Pocket turns it off from all communications to or from your smart phone. If you are worried about being tracked, this may be the one thing that you need to give you peace of mind. Once placed inside the pocket, it restricts all wireless communications in the normal frequencies of 800 MHz to 2.4 GHz. And it blocks these on CDMA, GSM, DCS, PHS, 3G and 4G. Pretty much covers it all for the top 4 wireless carriers in the US.
The How To for the Off Pocket is petty straight forward. You put your smart phone inside, you close the flap and then you wrap the elastic around the phone. Your phone is then protected from sending or receiving phone calls, text messages or GPS signals. This is far simpler than pulling the battery out and hope that is enough to stop all the signals. And the metalized fibers do the trick to block all the signals for you.
The Off Pocket site is up and running with current links to the KickStarter project going on right now and they have met the goal of raising $35,000. With 2 sizes, it will fit the majority of smart phones including the Samsung Galaxy S4. For a contribution of $85 or more, you can receive your very own Off Pocket holder in October when the first ones are released by going to the contributions page for the project. If you are concerned about Big Brother, then this product is for you.
